How do you tighten both wheels on a bench top grinder.?

When trying to tighten both wheels on a bench top grinder when you have one wheel tightened and then try to tighten the other side, since grinders have left and right hand nuts on the shafts, you unloosen the nut on the shaft when trying to tighten the nut on the opposite shaft. How do you secure both nuts
